This is mad late...I think like two weeks and change...but Jai told me to drop it regardless so, from what I remember:

I gets in nice and early to partake in some main floor mayhem, with me bein' the only, er, mayhemee. I think I stayed on for like three songs, tops...they weren't real faves of mines but they got me warmed up for my BlackRed run.

No Sol that night (I would find out later that he was otherwise previously engaged with a farewell party elsewhere) so I gots what I could get. I believe The Stalag was up on stage so I gets on an open floor and begin to get my sway on. He was playin' a lot of tunes I didn't reco-knowledge but some I was kinda diggin' on. By the end of his set it was still pretty much me alongside a couple of couples gettin' their GrindSway on.

Then Jai gets on and drops a rather strange set...fairly different from the usual (he told me he was a tad ripped that night from previous parties before this one). He did play two of my faves, which I haven't a clue as to their titles. By this time I was joined by a couple of folks, including my latest befriender Zadra and, of course, Mz Alvin Ailey herself. Still, it was a smaller crowd than usual for an AG night. After Jai was Advct, who did his thing but it wasn't too well recieved by the small crowd. It looked like this was all that was gonna happen.

Then this next cat gets on...I didn't know who he was (I think he had a blond mohawk thing goin' on) but his set was grimy and sonic-like. I didn't know nary a tune but it was like an audio slice thru the bone marrow! At this point a few more folks got on and it looked like the night was gonna redeem itself after all. We were joined by Spaz and his peoples as well as a few more upper level strayers, includin' those five pretties that always roll thru with their mans (Mz DS knows who they are...I think one of their names is Maria?). Pretty good set...whoever that was. The highlight was that Lady Blue came thru, with flip flops yet! We quick chatted on the haps on our lives and whatnot (hers bein' the more hectic of the two) before gettin' back to the dancin'.

The Stalag and Advct get on for the second time and drop some SureFires for Spaz and Co. I hung on for a few minutes but wasn't feelin' the vibe too tough so I sat down and watched the few folks left on the floor until it was time to make my way home. I said my goodbyes, took one last look at the pretties and left.

This was pretty much a low key night for me. I didn't feel right about postin' it but Jai insisted..."publicity is publicity, bad or good!"
