With the recent events in one of The Guilder's lives I felt it was only fitting to show up and rep for him. If you're readin' this, fam....know that all of us who love you will always be here for you, no matter what.

I gets to New York in good time and I meets three of The Guilders hangin' outside The Pyramid. "Hey, Rock Star!" says The 5witch...who, me?..."Never mind him," says The C'ant (who would be subbin'/guest DJ'n for Sol, I believe)..."he's just gone from caffeine, drink, and sleep deprivation!" Oh to the dayam. With a quick courtesy to Teh Mouse it was off to the insides.

I stopped at the upper level first to get my New Wave on since I didn't get a Q-time on Friday to get my warm up on (thanx to the DJ for playin' my request....didn't think he was actually gonna do it). Imagine my surprise when I was approached by, of all people, this long braided cat who rolls thru Q's every now and then (I remember him from that "battle" that he had with Stevie Kicks). Actually showed me love and the whole nine....nice. I headed on downstairs where Stalag was already in his set so I took to an open floor and began my pacings. Then Joe gets up on the podium and drops his brand of Obscures...some really loud ish. I think I only reco-knowledged one song, tops...but I enjoyed the vibe nonetheless while makin' sure I didn't bump into the "couples" that were fairly all over the floor with their dancin' (quoted 'cause it was hard to tell if the he's were with the her's or if the he's were together...did that make any sense?).

All of a sudden Jai is on the 1-2's. Just like that, Joe's set was over. Dayam, that was quick! Anyways, Jai seemed to follow Joe's pacing and kept the music highly kinetic...just some real frantic ish. I wasn't sure if I would be able to hold out much longer but I was gonna try! It was great since I had the company of Lady Zadra with me so that kept me motivated til the end (as well as Teh Mouse...is it me or is she more bangin' than usual?). Also in the mix was The Pyramidic One, who I've always enjoyed watchin' with her type of sway. I may never know her name but man her presence will always get me. She's one of those reasons I like goin' to these AG runs (and she's not even a Guilder!). It was also great to see Luna up in the spot (where the heck he's been, anyways?) with a pretty attractive pretty. I made sure I repped for him and Spaz as well as my fellow Quixotees back in Jerz (one pretty from Q even

Fairly doused up with sweat I decided to dab in a little dancin' of both Stalag's and Joe's second sets and rest up for Jai's return. After a quick Arizona run (energy drink) it was back down where Joe was keepin' up the frenzied tempo...iit was even applied to my X song (quickest I ever heard it spun!). Sure enough, Jai gets on and just like that I was in my own zone as he dropped the SureFires I've been dyin' to hear/dance to all week. The floor was fairly loaded now and it was great! At one point he played "Headcase" tempo'd down and that's one of my personal fave things to do with my songs. It sounded even better loud than it did at home...just some grimy, gutter Dusty ish! By the time he was done I was pretty much the last man standin', albeit barely. THAT was just fun!

It was here that I took it down officially and watched the remaining folks on the floor while dryin' off and resting. After one last, longing look at The Pryamidic One it was time to make my way back to Paterson. I changed shirts, said my goodbyes and goodnights and made my way back to Second Ave.

A low key night but I had my fun as usual so it was all good. Much love to The Guilders for guestin' me as always. Enjoyed the sets as well as the eye candy (damn, Mouse...just...dayam). Big ups to the DJs for the audio goods and to Lady Zadra for the extra inspiration on the BlackReds.

To John: just get your mind right and get your affairs in order. I'll see ya when I sees ya, man. Love ya.

Vynil, out.
